Set high in Sri Lanka’s Central Highlands at around 2,100 metres, Horton Plains is a spectacular landscape of rolling grasslands, misty cloud forests, streams and unique montane wildlife. The park’s famous circular trail takes visitors through some of the island’s most remarkable scenery, including the dramatic World’s End escarpment and beautiful Baker’s Falls. It is also an important habitat for endemic plants, birds and wildlife such as sambar deer, making it one of Sri Lanka’s most rewarding destinations for hiking and nature experiences.
