1. Tell us your trip
Pick your destinations, dates and how many of you are travelling. It takes a couple of minutes and costs nothing. You will see an indicative estimate straight away so you know roughly what to expect.
2. Local agents quote you
Vetted agents in that country see your request and send binding quotes, usually within a few hours. We email you the moment the first one lands — you do not have to sit refreshing a page.
3. Compare and choose
Every quote shows the agent's rating, reviews from real travellers, how many trips they have completed, and exactly what the price includes and excludes. Choose on merit, not just on price.
4. Travel
Accept a quote and you get the agent's direct contact straight away. They arrange your driver and vehicle, you can track your trip on the day, and afterwards you review both the destination and the agent.
What it costs you
Nothing. Requesting a trip and receiving quotes is free, and MyGetawayBuddy does not add a booking fee or commission to the price you are quoted. When you accept a quote you arrange payment directly with that agent on their terms — we never take your card details or hold your money.
The flip side of that is worth being clear about: because payment is between you and the agent, MyGetawayBuddy is not a party to it and cannot refund you. That is why every quote carries the agent’s cancellation terms, and why agent ratings come only from travellers who actually booked.
How we vet agents
Agents apply to join per country and are approved by our team before they can quote. Agents who supply a tourism licence or business registration number that we have checked carry a Verified badge on their quotes. Ratings and review counts come only from travellers with a real booking behind them — we never seed or invent them, so a new agent honestly shows “no reviews yet” rather than a flattering fake number.
Cancelling
You can cancel a trip yourself from My Trips at any point before it starts, including after you have accepted a quote. We will let the agents who quoted know. Whether any money you have already paid an agent is refundable is governed by that agent’s cancellation terms, shown on their quote.
